WHY WE STARTED STELLAR UPGRADES
The turning point came after meeting homeowners across Edmonton and surrounding communities who had already “gone solar” — and regretted it.
We saw systems oversized for actual usage, panels mounted without proper flashing, inverters undersized for winter conditions, and homeowners left without answers once the installer stopped returning calls.
One homeowner in Leduc had been sold a 12kW system for a house that only used 8,000 kWh per year. The panels were poorly mounted, the inverter was undersized, and the company had disappeared.
These weren’t rare cases. They were patterns — driven by rushed sales, generic designs, and companies optimized for volume instead of longevity.
PJ and Jordan founded Stellar Upgrades to do the opposite: slow down, assess properly, and build systems designed to perform for 30-50 years — not just pass inspection.

Before panels are discussed, we assess panel capacity, breaker loading, grounding, and future needs like EV charging or battery storage.
All installs are completed by certified electricians. No subcontracted labor. No exceptions.
Our crew: 8 certified electricians, all Alberta-based, with combined 60+ years of electrical experience. Manufacturer-certified for LONGi, EP Cube, and Enphase systems.

Accountability after install
Clean documentation, labeled electrical work, and long-term service access are built into every project — because systems should be maintainable, not disposable.

Every system is built around actual energy usage, roof geometry, shading, and Alberta weather — not generic production estimates.
We spend 60–90 minutes on-site analyzing:

I came to Canada from India with a simple goal: build a stable life. After graduating from Concordia University, I spent years jumping between jobs, chasing that financial stability everyone talks about.

But the longer I worked in the industry, the clearer the problems became. Homeowners being overcharged. Systems over-promised and under-delivered. Installers disappearing after the sale.
I realized financial stability was just the baseline. There had to be more to life than just making money — and I had a choice: keep watching the problems, or do something about them.

Master Electrician with over 15 years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work, specializing in renewable energy systems, battery storage, and solar integration.
